Planning & Development

Community Planning & Development are vital to the effective functioning of any First Nations Government.  Carden Consulting services are based upon best practices, are intended to build capacity to support First Nations control of development, and cultural revitalization, and include: 

  • Community Research and Planning;
  • Comprehensive Community Planning;
  • Health Planning; and
  • Other sectoral planning intended to support overall community development.

Carden Consulting uses indigenous research methodologies that are based upon local First Nation worldview and beliefs, action research approaches that are intended to build local capacity and support continuous growth and development, and strengths based approaches to support cultural revitalization, support capacity development, and citizen engagement. 

Finally, Carden Consulting frequently undertakes Indigenous Research and Training contracts, based upon academic guidelines (e.g. APA, Tri-Council Advisory Panel on Research Ethics) using local indigenous methodologies and approaches for academic related research or upon request.
